Join the crew

We build aircraft that fly cargo, not passengers. Join a student team where your work leaves the workshop — structures, avionics, software, and operations that move toward real flight.

More than a student project

Cargoswift gives you hands-on aerospace experience, a team that ships, and a portfolio you can show employers — before you graduate.

Real hardware

Design, build, and test aircraft components in FS ČVUT workshops — composites, structures, electronics, and flight systems.

Cross-disciplinary teams

Work alongside mechanical engineers, physicists, designers, and software developers on one shared mission.

Skills that transfer

CAD, simulation, embedded systems, project management, and presentation — skills aerospace employers actually look for.

Events and visibility

Competitions, hackathons, lectures, and partner events where you represent Cargoswift to industry and the public.

Find your squad

We recruit across departments. No prior aerospace experience required — curiosity, commitment, and willingness to learn matter most.

PR & Communications

Social media, events, outreach, and telling the Cargoswift story to partners and the public.

Construction & Mechanics

Airframe design, composites, manufacturing, and structural testing for cargo UAV platforms.

Physics

Aerodynamics, simulation, flight performance analysis, and validation of design decisions.

Design

Industrial design, UX for ground systems, branding, and visual identity across the project.

Electronics & Software

Embedded systems, avionics, autonomous navigation, fleet software, and mission intelligence.

Aviation & Legislative

Regulatory compliance, flight operations, safety processes, and certification readiness.

From application to crew

  1. Reach out

Fill out the recruitment form or send us a short email about your background, interests, and which area appeals to you. Attach a CV or portfolio if you have one.

  2. Meet the lead

We arrange an informal conversation with the department lead to see if there is a fit — no trick questions, just an honest exchange.

  3. Trial period

New members join a squad for a trial period — you contribute to real tasks and see how the team works day to day.

  4. Welcome aboard

Full membership, responsibilities on the project, and a seat at the table as we build toward flight.
